To anyone that has clicked here from a Rumblers site, here's some info and an explanation for you :)

The Rumbles wants a fair fight, and you can't have that with vote exchanging. Yes, The Rumbles is a very friendly community, and we encourage friendships to blossom and grow. Yes, you are allowed to vote for other sites, as many as you like each day. So why no vote exchanging then? I'm glad you asked :)

The reason the Rumbles have a strict NO vote exchanging policy is because we believe in having a fair competition. If people can vote exchange to get votes, than the result is that the best site isn't actually winning - the site that can get the most vote exchangers is. And that has nothing to do with how good your site is, or how much you have worked on it, which is what it *should* be about - having vote exchanges just makes it so that the person who can vote for the most sites each day wins. And that is definitely not something that we want for The Rumbles.

Yes, we realize that life isn't fair, and even in The Rumbles, not everything is going to be a fair fight. But we need to get as close as possible to that, and that involves not allowing any vote exchanges. Vote exchanging is really *cheating* to get ahead!

Why is vote exchanging cheating? Because the point of the competition is to see who has the best site. Now, we know and acknowledge that the best site will not always win, but when you allow vote exchanging to take place, it just makes it worse. If you win because you promise something to somebody else - a vote - then what does that say about your site? Why can't your site win on its own? Isn't that what its about?

That's what we think it is about here at The Rumbles. We are proud that we don't allow vote exchanging, and we are certainly proud of the sites that win in The Rumbles without vote exchanging. Please don't cheat - make it a fair fight.
